Our tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable. While in the bus we watched a video, a historical account of the time. Wear comfortable shoes, lunch on the way back. Although I do not have any close relative that felt the pain of the war, it is an emotional experience.
Josef was an amazing guide. He was very welcoming and provided great information along the way. The van was very comfortable and we had plenty if time to wander around Salzburg. It was a great day
The will give you a horrible example of what was one on the worst cults in world history, I highly recommend - it is a wonderful memorial of the 90,000 that perished there. you will find it hard to believe that these slim balls could live with themselves about what they did......
LONG travel from Vienna to Salzburg nothing to be done to improve, just be aware of the distance. Robert was vey knowledgeable, paleasant, and made the entire trip enjoyable. Especially liked the lakes.small villages not another tourist in sight !!!
Although it was overwhelming to see what happened at Mauthausen it was a tour that I will never forget. The ride to the camp was excellent and the tour guide was very good.
This was a wonderful tour and our guide Paulo was excellent. On both our drives out of and back into Vienna, Paulo shared very interesting history about the city, including urban planning. Our tour guide in Salzburg was also awesome and gave a helpful overview of the city and its history. Given that this tour is a day trip, it’s a bit hard to fit everything in, but I think the tour has a good balance of shorter stops in the mountains to see the towns/lakes and then time in Salzburg.
Even though the weather wasn’t great, it had been raining on and off, we had a great time. This is a small group tour, our guide also acted as the driver. He is so good and very knowledgeable, gave us enough time to go around Salzburg on our own. Very much enjoyed it. Highly recommend if you don’t plan to stay in Salzburg.
Our guide Joseph was very informative. He gave us information about the areas we were passing by while on the 2 hour trip to Mauthausen Concentration Camp. At the camp Johan, our guide was fabulous! He was so informative and it was like you experienced the terror yourself. I highly recommend this tour.
